Contact Lens Exams
Now is a great time to wear contact lenses!  Technology continues to improve materials and designs of contact lenses.  This means people with a wide range of vision problems can now successfully wear contacts, including most people with astigmatism and even bifocal wearers!

Contact Lens examinations at Mascoma Eye Care utilize state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment and personalized attention from the doctors and staff.  Allow approximately one hour for teaching the technique of insertion, removal and disinfection.   Sample lenses will be worn for appropriate fit and sharpness of acuity.  Prior to selecting a lens, tear quality will be measured along with mapping of the cornea as these are necessary for the best fit and long term health of the eye. A final follow up visit is required to demonstrate the patient's proficiency in handling the lenses; the long term comfort of the lens; the stability of the patient's vision and most importantly the eye's health.  The fitting process provides professional services for 1-month   There will be no additional fitting charges during this time.

What is new in contact lenses?

The field of contact lens technology is exploding with innovation.  We try hard to keep up on the developments to help improve your quality of life thru excellent vision.  Please let us know if you have any interest in discussing the following recent innovations:

30 day continuous wear lenses.  No care, no solutions. FOCUS NIGHT & DAY lenses are a revolutionary product that can change your life.  Breathe 6 times more than conventional lenses.  Not like the extended wear lenses of the 80's. NIGHT & DAY contacts are ideal for people with busy lifestyles, because they eliminate the tedious daily hassle of inserting, removing and cleaning lenses.  For true freedom, if the permanency of laser correction concerns you.

Daily Disposables     No cleaning, no care, one time use. Daily disposable contact lenses are the most convenient and hypogenic type of lens. Disposable contacts do away with the hassle of cleaning lenses. Disposable Lenses are the best way to keep your eyes healthy and ideal for busy people or those with allergies. Use for sports, active activities, whatever.  Have vision for the price of coffee and donuts!

Toric Astigmatic Contacts   9 out of 10 people have astigmatism.  If your eye is not perfectly round, you have it.   Dozens  of excellent lenses for crisp vision and comfortable wear.  Yes you can wear them, even if you tried   in the past .

Cosmetic Colored lenses Beautiful lenses for virtually any eye color, even if your eyes are very dark.  The realism is awesome!  Ask for a free demo today.

Corneal Refractive Therapy.  Sleep your way to Great Vision   Correct your vision while you sleep with safe, non-surgical Paragon CRT therapeutic lenses, and enjoy great vision 24 hours a day, without the hassles of glasses and daytime contacts.  No glasses, no daytime contacts, no surgery.  FDA approved in June of 2002.
