Eye Glass Exams
The American Optometric Association recommends that adults between the ages of 18 and 60 have their eyes checked every two years at a minimum. Adults over 61 years should have their eyes examined every year.
Because eye diseases and disorders can occur without obvious symptoms, having regular eye exams is extremely important. Early detection through periodic examinations is essential.
Your optometrist will determine the proper prescription required for contact lenses or eyeglasses to correct your vision. He or she will evaluate your eyes' general health and evaluate how well your eyes work together. Your optometrist will also evaluate other important health concerns that may exist, such as diabetes and hypertension, and check your eyes for glaucoma and cataracts.
Regular eye exams can help ensure the health of your eyes!
